The problem to solve

My challenge was to redesign the actual dashboard to facilitate the process of choosing a contractor, talk to them, schedule a meeting and request a project quote.

Quick research

Before starting anything, I spent some time testing the currently page and process. After that, I explained the process to 5 people, to discover what are the key elements they would use to compare contractors:

Sketching the concept

I started to sketch a lot of concepts on paper. I think this is the fastest way to get some ideas of what I need to do. I used these rough sketches to show the new process to the users and validate my idea.

Wireframing & Prototyping

Photos of previous projects help build confidence on the constructor and it’s a main point to the decision of the user.

The user can interact with each contractor without leave the page. It’s easy to send a message, request a meeting and view/request a project quote.
